Jewish Thought & Identity Series
The Jewish Thought & Identity Series offers meaningful learning opportunities for Brock and Niagara College students.
Designed to encourage thoughtful discussion, critical reflection, and personal growth, these courses create space for students to engage deeply with Jewish ideas in an open, welcoming, and intellectually engaging environment.
The courses are open to students from all backgrounds and levels of familiarity. They focus on Jewish thought, identity, ethics, and contemporary issues.
Participation may qualify for co-curricular recognition through Brock University’s ExperienceBU program, where applicable.

Shaar HaBitachon
An exploration of trust, faith, emotional resilience, and personal growth through classical Jewish thought.
Topics may include:
- Anxiety and trust
- Purpose and perspective
- Emotional balance and spirituality
- Developing inner stability
Israel & Me
A space to explore personal, historical, cultural, and emotional connections to Israel through thoughtful conversation and reflection.
Topics may include:
- Jewish identity and Israel
- Historical connection to the land
- Contemporary conversations and challenges
- Personal experiences and perspectives
Universal Ethics
An exploration of universal moral responsibility and ethical living through Jewish teachings and timeless values.
Topics may include:
- Human dignity and responsibility
- Moral courage and accountability
- The 7 Noahide Laws
- Ethics in contemporary society
